Bolton Bros Ltd have been making bespoke footwear since 1893, and have served the NHS since its inception in 1952. A long established family firm - now in its 4th generation - we manufacture the only best quality shoes and orthoses. We have supplied orthotic services and prescription footwear to NHS clinics in the North East of England since the 1950's.

MBT Footwear

Bolton Bros are proud to be a service and repair agent for MBT Physiological footwear. MBT shoe designs are a popular choice of health conscious consumers everywhere.

The positive effect of the MBT is based on the principle of "natural instability". An effect which can, in fact, be achieved by simply walking barefoot on soft, uneven, natural ground such as sand. New Safety Standard

A new Safety Standard, BS EN 20 345-1, has been adopted in our Safety Footwear. This replaces the previous standard. Various styles and additions are available and shoes incorporate our lightweight aluminium toecap that can be specified as "Extra Deep" or "Extra Wide". Contact us for further details.

Over the years, we have discovered that designing a shoe to accommodate the individuals wishes is almost as vital as designing one which will accommodate their disability or injury.
